The ability to Send emails from Gmail using your own domain names email address is just one of the fantastic features Gmail offers, and although setting up your Gmail account to send emails using your own domain name is quite simple, it does take a little bit of work to set up.
This tutorial will walk you through the steps involved in setting up your Gmail account so you can send and receive emails using your own domain names email address in Gmail.
The first step is to log into the Cpanel of your web hosting account.
Once your into your Cpanel, look for the “Forwarders” icon in the “Mail” section, Click on it to continue.
After clicking on the “Forwarders” Icon, you will then see a screen with an “Add Forwarder” button in the center of the page Click on it.
The next screen to open up will be where you choose the email address you want to forward,
If you have multiple domain names already set up on your web hosting account, make sure you choose the correct domain name.
To do this, Just click on the drop down arrow, this will show all of your domain names, click on the domain name you want to use in your Gmail account.
After you have chosen the domain name you want to use, type into the “Address To Forward” yellow text box, your email ID, in this case mine will be “Jeremy“.
Then fill in your “Gmail” email address, I usually leave the rest of the settings “As Is”.
Then Click on the “Add Forwarder” Button to continue.
The next screen to open up in your Cpanel will be a confirmation screen with a message confirming that from now on, all messages sent to your domain’s email account will now be forwarded to your Gmail account.
Now that we have added the forwarder to our Domain’s email address, we now have to log into our Gmail account and set it up so we can send emails from our domain name’s email address.
Once inside your Gmail account go to the “Settings” link in the top right hand corner of your screen.
After clicking on the settings link you will then need to look for the “Accounts and Import” link. Click on it to move on to the next step.
After opening the “Accounts and Import” screen look for the “Send Mail From Another Address” button, Click on it to set up your new email address.
A new window will pop up asking you to fill in the details of your new email address, fill in the details of the email address you want to add and click on the “Next Step” button.
Next, Gmail will ask if you want to send your mail through your web hosts SMPT servers or Gmails, I leave this option “As Is” and move on to the next step by clicking on the “Next Step” Button.
Before we can move forward with the set up, we need to verify that you own the email address, the next step is to send a verification email to prove that you own the email account.
Click on the “Send Verification” button to continue.
In the next screen you will be notified that Gmail has sent you a verification email, In the email you will be given a verification code and a verification link.
If your domain email has been forwarded correctly, you should get an email in your Gmail account.
If for some reason the email doesn’t appear into your Gmail account, you may need to go back through the steps outlined above and make sure you have everything set up correctly, Open the email to get the verification code.
In the email, Gmail gives you two verification options,
- A verification link you can click on, or…
- The verification code to insert into the verification page as seen in the previous step.
In this example I simply clicked on the supplied verification link 
A new “Confirmation Success” window will open up telling you, you can now send email from Gmail with your new @mywebsite.com email address.
So now, if we go back to our Gmail account, we will have the option to send out mail from our new email address. You can test it by going to the “Compose Mail” link,
and writing an email from your new email address and simply send it to your Gmail email address, Basically you are just sending an email to your self from your self.
After you’ve sent your test email, If everything is working correctly, you should almost immediately receive your self sent test email in your Gmail inbox.
If you recieve your test email have successfully set up Gmail to send mail from another email address, and Even though the fact you received the test email proves to you that everything is set up and working, there’s just one more thing I like to check.
Open your test email and just click on the show details link at the top of your email, this will show you all of the info in regards to who sent the email and what address it was sent to,
If it was sent from your @Domain.com email address to your @Gmail.com address you have just completed the final step in Sending Your Mail From Gmail Using Your Domain Name.
Congratulations, and if you set up your new web email address as your default in Gmail, no-one need ever know you are using Gmail as your main email client.

Why can’t I save the page for future reference (offline)? Is there a way of saving pages such as yours without copying them into word?
Also, since you are so enthusiastic about gmail, perhaps you know how to test an imbeded hyperlink without sending a test message. I have checked the support (useless) and forums (no sign of the question, never mind an answer) and found no means of contacting google themselves (too big to care I suppose).

Thanks for your Comment, If you like I could write a short tutorial on testing your links in Gmail, it would be easy for me to do.
As far as saving the page, try right clicking and “Save Page As” and save it to your hard drive.
But to be honest I would prefer it if you followed the tutorial from the site, as it would show the search engines people are spending more time on the site because they are finding the content here helpful, therefore improving my rankings in the search engines.
