The Great Twitter Experiment.
I have been a little disappointed of late on the quality of Twitter traffic to my blog, the number of retweets I have been getting and the number of followers I have in return to the number of tweets and Retweets I send out.
So I have decided to do a little Twitter experiment.
But before I let the cat out of the bag and explain what I am going to do I will share a little background as to how I have been using Twitter so far.
So far I have used Twitter purely as a tool to follow people that I am genuinely interested in.
I haven’t really been to concerened with the number of people who are following me and I have never subscribed to the follow me Follow you mentality.
But I guess that mindset had a lot to do with my lack of direction and focus as to what am I going to pour my heart into when it comes to an online presence.
Since starting Globalevangelists.com I have been looking at using twitter in a different light, I am seeing Twitter as a way of promoting my blog and bring in a lot more traffic.
Which is where the experiment comes in.
I am going to run two twitter accounts.
Both with my real name, both with the same gravatar but one major difference.
One account will remain the same, My current account will still be my main account where I keep going the same as I always have and the new account I will adopt a more of a follow me follow you type of approach.
I mainly want to see what works for me and my niche, Christians Online.
Both accounts will receive the same amount of attention from me, as I will be sending out random tweets between the two accounts.
I will also be using both accounts to promote my blog posts.
The criteria in choosing people to follow will be…
1. Cristians.
2. Online Marketers.
3. WordPress Users.
4. Must Have A Gravatar.
5. Must Be A Real Account.
6. Have Proportionate Followers To Following.
I will only promote my First account as my real account and the second account will be only promoted through Twitter.
So I as much as anyone will be interested in the results to come.
Stay tuned for updates as this is the only place you will find out about how things are going with…
The Great Twitter Experiment.
